Custom Genesis Sprite Test

I decided to do a revival of my "Sonic Revamped" sprites, but in a bit of a different way.

The old ones were a revamp of the Sonic advance style, while these ones are my way of modernizing the Genesis style a little. I use the word "modernizing" loosely, because they're more of a re-styling than anything.

I decided to go with the Sonic 2 style rather than the Sonic 3 style; as for why...I just felt like it?

I know the idle is sorta weird, but that's probably not the final one I'll be using. The main purpose here was to demonstrate 3 different designs I'll be playing with. You can't really see it here, but I'll be tweaking the wrist bands for each of these corresponding to their Super Smash Bros and SA2 counterparts in sprites where his wrists are visible.

As always, I did this completely from scratch besides Sonic's color pallet being from the original Sega Genesis title, Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
